ReviewsTravis TobiassonThe helmet mount for the mini cam works great, I have two mounts one on my structure helmet, the other on my wildland hard hat. Fitment was great on my structure helmet, on my wildland hardhat, I had to take a short piece of 3/8 rubber fuel line and split one side down to slip over the brim to tighten down. Other than that one little inconvenience, both mounts work great. I've only been able to use my camera on one fire so far and it was a very hot cornfield fire but the video quality I got in low light conditions turned out great! Should make for some really good training footage and be an excellent too going forward to not only learn from each fire, but like in this instance record forage that actually helped determine the starting point and possible cause from the footage that was recorded prior to the tractors and discs arrival which turned over the ground eliminating that opportunity of investigating the origin site.Matt Brinton
FireCam Blackjack MountPurchased this mount as I was previously using a home made mount but a change in PPE contract led to a change in fittings. Couldn't find the Blackjack mounts that had been supplied with my camera, so purchased another. The mount is pretty good, does what it needs to. The only things holding me back from 5 stars are: 1) The grub screws to secure the mount to the helmet would be great if they were longer or if you were supplied with multiple lengths. The point at which I'm mounting the camera is fairly thin, so it doesn't feel as robust as I'd like because only a small amount of the grub screw remains within its thread. 2) The diameter could do with being a fraction larger. It's a little too snug to slide my camera in and out of the mount, just makes it a bit more time consuming to put it in or out or even to swap batteries and memory cards etc. Other than those two points though, does exactly what I need it to.
